We are Andrea and Míša, lawyers and mediators. We work with parents who are separating – and these experiences gave rise to the app2us Family app.

I am a lawyer and registered mediator with more than 15 years of experience. I first encountered mediation while working at an international law firm – I was immediately intrigued by the possibility of resolving conflicts amicably, outside of court.

Yes, app2us Family is a mobile app, so you can always have it at hand –⁠ works on phones with iOS 15+ and Android 12+.

How do I use app2us?

Just download the app, fill in some basic information about yourself and your children, and invite the other parent. And that's it! It's easy and straightforward to use – we'll guide you through the app.

How do I pay for a subscription?

You can try the app for free for one month. After the trial period ends, payment will be automatically deducted from your App Store or Google Play account. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time. Each parent pays for their own account separately.

Can I gift a subscription to the app2us Family app?

Great idea! Yes, you can –⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ The easiest way is to buy a Gift Card for the other person and top it up with the desired amount, e.g. £10 if you want to give a year's subscription. First, you need to know whether the recipient uses Apple or Android, and then choose an Apple Gift Card or Google Play Gift Card accordingly. You can buy a gift card online or in a shop, select the amount and receive a code (either by email or on a physical card). You then give this to the recipient, who can easily redeem it in the App Store or Google Play in their account settings. The credit will be loaded immediately and can be used for a subscription, for example.

What happens if one parent does not pay?

Don't worry – you won't lose any data. The app will continue to work for the paying parent, but communication with the other parent will be temporarily suspended. Once the other parent makes the payment, everything will be restored immediately.

What if each parent uses a different currency?

Each parent can use a different currency in the Expenses section –⁠ just set it up in your profile. We support CZK, EUR, GBP, USD and PLN. Amounts are automatically converted according to the current exchange rate. For example, if mum has an account in Czech korunas and enters CZK 1,000, dad, who uses euros, will see approximately EUR 40 (the amount is automatically calculated according to the current exchange rate).

Can I synchronise my calendar from app2us Family with my online calendar?

Yes. The app is compatible with iOS and Android –⁠ just use Google Calendar. We will show you how to do this step by step in Help.

Is my family's data secure?

Yes. At app2us Family, we understand that you are sharing sensitive information. That is why all the data you enter is encrypted and securely stored in a database operated by Amazon Web Services on servers in the European Union. We use E2E encryption for communication. The safety of your family is our priority.
